Know before you go

  • The dress code in our host country is generally relaxed for both men and women. There is no specific dress requirement for the conference; however, we recommend a casual to business casual attire. Please be mindful to avoid shorts, flip flops, and sportswear when in the conference venue (Education City – HBKU Mosque) and official public places such as hospitals and ministries.

  • Important: Our Gala Dinner will be held in the desert, featuring activities such as dune bashing and sitting down in a traditional majlis. Please bring comfortable clothing to change into after the conference on the first day, ensuring a pleasant and enjoyable experience during the desert excursion. Your preparedness is greatly appreciated. Winter season started and you might need to bring some warm cloths

  • As in many other Muslim countries, Qatar allows the sale and consumption of alcohol in most hotels and few restaurants. However, it is important to note that importing alcohol or consuming it in public streets is strictly prohibited. The same regulations apply to pork.

  • Please be aware that traffic rules in our host country may differ, and pedestrians might not always have the right of way. Exercise caution when crossing streets and follow designated pedestrian crossings where available. If driving, exercise caution and adapt to the local driving norms.

The local environment is conducive to a tranquil experience, and we trust that you will find your time here both enjoyable and secure.
